Colored by structure
Notice the two alpha helices, the 3-10 helix, and the beta strands forming a beta barrel.

S1P in Spacefilling
S1P binds at the center of the calyx-like ligand-binding pocket.

Specific Interactions Between S1P and ApoM
The yellow residues interact via the phosphate moiety. The green residues interact via H-bonding (bridging water molecules). The pink residue interacts with the hydroxyl group of S1P (via bridging water moleculues).
